Since 1995, my primary context for showing work has been post-modern dance performance. I create set installations of objects and costumes that serve as choreographic devices. The choreographers and sound designers with whom I collaborate share my interest in the aesthetics of everyday, “vernacular” objects, gestures, and sound, integrated from first conception.
The spillover effect has brought projection, light, and sound design into the work, both in performance and in the sculpture as object.
Performance inserts the artist into its landscape.
